Deafening Applause
Thursday, 7th July - Redfern Town Hall

They flowed into the hall like fans to a soccer final, punching the air with athletic hands, laughing, recognising, backslapping and swapping chit chat on this and that. The sushi was nice, the hummus had spice, the chairs filled with bums catching up with old chums.

Caroline and Andrew looked into the crystal ball to tell what lay ahead. Then out came the actors, and the stories walked out of the oversized books that hung on the set. The show, Caroline’s first creation was well-received, with emus, gorillas and ‘orrible kids featuring in a smorgasboard of theatrical scenes.

If the wine hadn’t run out, we might still be there.
