Music and Deaf actors? This is the kind of contradiction that ATOD love to grapple with, because it is the seed for a show that will be completely different to anything you've ever seen before.

Kate Gaul (Griffin Theatre's "Rabbit", Company B's "Our Lady of Sligo" 2004) has joined forces with Tony Strachan (Writer of "State Of Shock", ATOD's director) and musician Llew Kiek (World Music Instrumentalist of the Year 1999) to create a powerhouse of talent and energy.

"Friction" fuses several elements of theatre and language together, to create a meaningful and funny plot, while using original music created live on stage. A regretful butcher and his ambitious wife feud with their neighbours, a Russian masseur and her repressed son. No-one can remember the origins or reason for the feud, and it is given new life when an enigmatic stranger arrives.

Featuring: Kate Nelson, Michael Ng, Valerie Berry, Alex Jones and Fiona Crisp

Tickets: $27 full, $21 concession and $17 VIP subscribers and ATOD members.
